Isn’t it interesting that when a 71 one year old man stops an armed robbery in an internet cafe nobody says a damn thing about it?
Then with the incident today in the Colorado movie theater you have all these gun control advocates starting to jump up and down screaming, “we need more gun control laws and to ban guns entirely.” “Guns are too easy to get.” “Guns are evil.” Just demonizing everything gun related.
Well let me ask you this. Is a knife a good or evil?
I can use a knife for many good things. I can make my baby cousin a sandwich with it. I can use it to cut my grilled cheese in half so I can share it with a friend. I can even open packages and letters with it. A knife has many wonderful uses. Does this make the knife good?
So what if I take that knife and use it to stab someone? I’ve just used the knife to commit an act of evil. I’ve harmed someone with this knife. Does this make the knife evil?
The answer is the knife is neither good or evil. The knife is a tool; an extension of the individual using it. A gun is neither good or evil. It is a tool.

Marvin Heemeyer built a “hillbilly tank” in his workshop by putting concrete and steel plating on a bulldozer.

He then proceeded to destroy 13 buildings.
Should we ban bulldozers and concrete because someone used them to damage property and cause a mass panic? Should we regulate who buys bulldozers and concrete? Have construction workers submit to background checks before they buy building supplies?
You can’t stop people from doing crazy things.
Don’t sacrifice your liberty because you want more security. All the security in the world won’t protect you from everything.
Just my two cents.
